Job Summary
We are seeking a Field Service Power Generation Service Writer to serve as the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring exceptional service and driving business growth at our branch location. Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary liaison with customers, fostering strong relationships and delivering high-quality service.
- Assess customer needs, gather relevant information, and create detailed work orders.
- Provide accurate quotes, develop repair plans, and communicate status updates on service jobs.
- Prepare comprehensive work orders, including diagnostic plans and repair estimates, collaborating with the Service Supervisor/Team Lead.
- Schedule technician assignments in partnership with the Service Supervisor/Team Lead.
- Address customer concerns related to warranties and repair costs, clearly explaining charges and processes.
- Monitor workshop performance metrics, such as labor productivity and customer satisfaction, ensuring continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years in customer service or generator repair sales; dealership or similar industry experience preferred.
- Skills:
- Strong proficiency in scheduling and coordinating technician appointments.
- Familiarity with dealership or equivalent service environments.
- Solid computer skills, including experience with service management software.
- Valid driver’s license required, as the role may involve moving trucks and RVs within the facility.
Preferred Candidate Attributes
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills for working with customers and vendors via phone, email, and in person.
- Proven ability to write detailed service complaints, prepare warranties, draft quotes, and sell repair jobs.
- Highly organized with a proactive approach to managing customer interactions and service schedules.
