We're looking for a skilled and customer-focused Service Technician to represent Pella of Utah in the field. In this role, you’ll be the go-to expert for diagnosing and repairing Pella window and door products, helping homeowners and new construction projects enjoy the lasting quality and reliability that Pella is known for. What You’ll Do:
- Deliver Top-Tier Service: Diagnose and resolve performance and warranty issues with Pella windows and doors in both existing homes and new construction sites, ensuring that every product functions at its best.
- Prepare for Success: Keep your stock of products and parts well organized and ready for each service call to maximize efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Build Strong Customer Relationships: Provide regular status updates to customers, sales personnel, and management, addressing questions, setting expectations, and overcoming obstacles with a commitment to outstanding customer service.
- Ensure Customer Satisfaction: Approach every situation with a service ethic that reinforces Pella’s promise to never abandon our customers, delivering a seamless, positive experience that instills trust in our brand
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience: At least one year of experience in windows installation, in addition to residential construction, remodeling, or home repair. Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with construction terminology are essential.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal skills, with the ability to handle challenging customer interactions with diplomacy and professionalism.
- Mathematical Aptitude: Ability to calculate dimensions, proportions, and other metrics using basic algebra and geometry.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Resourceful and proactive, with a knack for collecting data, interpreting technical instructions, and solving unique challenges on the job.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) and quick to learn Pella’s proprietary systems.
Physical Demands:
In this field-based role, you’ll be actively engaged, regularly standing, walking, climbing ladders, and performing hands-on tasks. You will need to lift up to 50 pounds and work at various heights to ensure our products are installed and functioning to the highest standards. Compensation Package:
- Annual bonus
Schedule:
- Primarily Monday to Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with potential for overtime, evening, and weekend duties as needed. Schedule may vary at the Service Manager's discretion.
Experience:
- A minimum of one year of experience in windows installation, in addition to residential construction, remodeling, or home repair.
