Appliance Service Technician - Don's Appliances

Summary

Don's Appliances, a leading retailer in the Pittsburgh market and has been named a Top Workplace in Pittsburgh 9 years in a row. We are currently seeking a Refrigeration Appliance Repair Technician to join our team.

This position is located in Morgantown, West Virginia.  This is a full-time position and scheduled hours are Monday – Friday, 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., with rotating weekend schedules. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for the resolutions of customer/product repair within the company standard expectations.
• Provide the effective repair and first-time resolution of all in-home repairs within the service area.
• Carry out repairs, modifications of home appliances in the field.
• Resolve customer issues within given guidelines and to the customer's satisfaction.
• Efficiently diagnose errors or technical problems and determine proper solutions.  Make appropriate repairs or order parts for repair.
• Cooperate with the service and parts team and share information across the organization.
• Comprehend customer requirements and make appropriate recommendations/briefings.
• Meet key performance productivity goals.

Requirements for all jobs within the Service Technician Job Family:

• All applicants must have a high school degree from an accredited school or GED to be qualified.

• Technical degree in relevant field or relevant training preferred.
• All applicants must have a valid driver's license.
• The incumbent must be able to accept alternative shifts assignments on short notice, work scheduled and nonscheduled overtime and participate in a weekend work rotation.
• Organized with the ability to complete multiple service calls in a timely manner daily while providing high levels of customer service.
• Must be a self-starter and be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong communication and superior customer service skills.
• All positions will be required to use a computer and must have a general working knowledge of how to enter data on a computer.
• All positions will be required to operate a company vehicle in a safe manner.

Sr. Service Technician

• Refrigeration experience required.
• Must have experience with all brands of appliances that the company services.

License/Certification:

• Valid Driver's License Required
