Basic IDIQ, Inc. is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Service Manager to join our team at our Fort Worth office. While this role is titled Service Manager, someone with a background in project management would be an ideal fit. The Service Manager will oversee short-term repair projects from start to finish, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently, to a high-quality standards, and on schedule. This position requires strong organizational skills, clear communication, and collaboration with both customers and subcontractors. What is the Service Department:
The Service Department at Basic IDIQ is dedicated to delivering efficient and high-quality solutions for a wide range of minor to mid-sized repair needs. From doors and dock lifts to finishes and MEP systems, we manage it all. We also provide rapid-response services for emergency situations such as broken glass or vehicle-related damage. Serving client across thirteen states, our department is expanding to meet growing demand, and we take great pride in delivering reliable, top-tier service that positively impacts our customers' operations.
- Effectively communicate with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders via phone, email, and in person.
- Prioritize and manage multiple tasks, ensuring timely completion of all assigned projects.
- Address customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly, delivering excellent customer service.
- Assess project scope, create schedules, and manage subcontractor coordination.
- Maintain regular communication with clients and subcontractors to ensure timely updates on job progress.
- Oversee short-term repair requests from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
- Track job status and ensure required documentation is completed and submitted on time.
- Manage invoicing and ensure timely verification and acquisition of necessary project documentation.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with excellent phone etiquette.
- Proficiency in project management software, construction tools, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).
- Proven ability to understand scope of work, manage scheduling, and oversee subcontractors.
- Self-motivated, organized, and detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Positive attitude and customer-focused approach to all tasks.
- Ability to determine project scope from remote settings through photos, videos, and written descriptions.
- Basic understanding of commercial construction, including MEP systems.
- 2-5 years of experience in commercial construction, preferably in a project management or service-related role.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities based on client needs.
- A willingness to receive feedback and continuously improve performance.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with team members to achieve shared goals.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles, including invoicing and budgeting.
- Willingness to be available for after-hours emergencies as needed.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug test.
- High school diploma is required; additional college coursework is a plus.
