You'll have the opportunity to hire and motivate an amazing team of Service Technicians and Equipment Associates
You will maintain and repair a variety of specialty rental equipment and support assets assigned to the Power/HVAC fleet to ensure safe operation and readiness for rental
You will work closely with the Branch Manager, and help build a profitable location with your leadership, service and maintenance knowledge, and business management.What you'll do:Supervise the preventative maintenance, trouble shooting, and repair of a variety of equipment, including but not limited to the following: Silent Diesel Generators 20kw to 1.5MW; Air-Cooled Chillers 10 to 400 Tons; Rental Industry Air-Conditioners 5 to 40 Tons; Desiccant Dehumidifiers and Negative Air Machines; Electrical Distribution; Load BanksMotivate, coach and train technicians to exceed time & quality standards and comply with standard repair and maintenance processesSupervise Service Technicians, ensuring safety policies and procedures are followed at all timesBuild strong customer relationships through the delivery of high quality and timely customer serviceApply United Rental policies to maximize productivity while maintaining a safe work environment in a clean, organized facilityManage the shop operating expensesLead, plan, measure and continuous improvement of all service and maintenance performance metricsMeet on regular basis with Branch Managers, reporting any problems and discussing possible solutionsOther duties assigned as neededRequirements:High school diploma or equivalent3-5 years of operations and shop management experience with background in repairing and maintaining the equipment stated aboveIntermediate to advanced diagnostic and repair skills for mechanical, hydraulic, diesel, pneumatic and other systemsAdvanced knowledge of heavy equipment, the manufacturers' warranty process, and the work order / time spent accounting processExperience on diesel, hydraulic and electrical systems that allows for independent assessment and diagnosis in most situationsValid driver's license with acceptable driving recordStrong motivational and leadership skillsExcellent customer service skillsStrong knowledge of maintenance accounting and P&LBasic computer skills particularly with Microsoft ExcelThis position is deemed Safety Sensitive for purposes of United Rentals' policies and procedures.Why join us?We don't just ""talk the talk!""
