About the Job
WEG Electric Corp. Has an excellent opportunity for a Service Engineer - Motors for our Duluth GA location. You will provide technical support for all WEG products via phone calls and e-mails. This position also reviews and processes warranty claims and coordination with third party vendors.
Primary Responsibilities

Receive incoming calls, and emails

Receive and log warranty claims.

Answer technical calls from customers/end users

Communicate issues with internal customers (including quality, engineering, sales, etc.)

Be an area expert for external/internal customers

Analyze warranty claims data and determine its accuracy by failure and warranty period requesting additional information, as needed.

Issue credit to original purchaser or service shop.

Prepare bill back charges to factory, as needed; issues RGA’s as needed.

Develops and prepares warranty reports for management, as needed.

Track product failures for quality control purposes.

Recommend parts to customers, as appropriate.

Arrange third party assistance, as appropriate.

Maintain warranty repair log.

Consistently mentors and trains junior team member
Education
- High School or GED
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent is highly preferred.
Knowledge/Training
-
Strong Electrical Motors knowledge.

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and information, technical job specifications are required.

Working knowledge of industrial applications.

Department procedures.
-
Robust product and troubleshooting knowledge.
Experience
- 3+ years of prior experience in a service technical support role.
