About the Job

Established by chef and founder David Chang in 2004 with the opening of Momofuku Noodle Bar, Momofuku has grown to include restaurants in New York City, Sydney, Washington, DC, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, and Toronto; a bakery established by award-winning pastry chef Christina Tosi with multiple locations throughout New York City, Washington, DC, Las Vegas, and Toronto (Milk Bar); and a bar (Nikai). The restaurants have gained world-wide recognition for their innovative take on cuisine, while supporting local, sustainable and responsible farmers and food purveyors.

Momofuku’s first restaurant in Washington, D.C. opened in October 2015. Momofuku CCDC serves a roster of dishes that change with the seasons. The restaurant has a bar, noodle bar, main dining room, and private dining room.

We are looking for Servers to join our growing FOH team at our location in Washington DC!

Responsibilities:

Anticipate guest needs
Communicate FOH needs effectively to both FOH and BOH teams
Provide attentive, warm and personable service
Speak knowledgeably on menu items and recommendations with enthusiasm!
Stay updated on menu changes and specials
Ensure guests receive the Momofuku dining experience!

Skills & Requirements:

At least 2 years of previous serving experience
Must possess exceptional work ethic and a collaborative attitude
Exceptional communication, service and floor skills
Receptive to constructive criticism and performance feedback
Basic food and beverage knowledge preferred
High volume restaurant experience preferred
A passion for food & hospitality!

Physical Demands

The physical demands for this position are seeing, hearing, speaking, reaching, frequently lifting up to 25 pounds, occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds, sitting, standing, for 4 to 8 hours, bending, and moving intermittently during working hours.
