We are currently seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. This role is integral to our financial infrastructure, with responsibilities that include managing and analyzing financial statements, overseeing cash flow management, and ensuring accurate reporting and compliance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing, cost accounting, and variance analysis. They will also have a deep understanding of inventory accounting, Work In Process (WIP), and general ledger management. This is a permanent, full-time position, offering a competitive salary and benefits package.
Responsibilities
As a Senior Accountant, your primary responsibilities will include:
1. Overseeing the preparation, analysis, and reporting of financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
2. Managing the company's cash flow and preparing cash flow forecasts.
3. Conducting variance analysis to understand the difference between planned and actual figures.
4. Managing the general ledger and ensuring all financial data is recorded accurately.
5. Implementing and maintaining internal financial controls and procedures.
6. Leading the cost accounting process, including WIP and inventory accounting.
7. Assisting with the budgeting and forecasting process, and providing financial planning support to the management team.
8. Preparing for financial audits and coordinating with external auditors.
9. Ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal tax filings and regulatory reporting requirements.
10. Participating in strategic data analysis, research, and modeling for senior company leadership.
Qualifications
To be considered for the Senior Accountant role, you must possess the following:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A CPA or CMA designation is highly desirable.
2. Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the manufacturing industry.
3. Proficiency in cost accounting, WIP, variance analysis, and inventory accounting.
4. Solid experience in managing and analyzing financial statements.
5. Demonstrated ability to manage cash flow and prepare accurate financial forecasts.
6. In-depth knowledge of the general ledger system and financial chart of accounts.
7. Strong understanding of financial accounting standards and regulations.
8. Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to analyze complex financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections.
9. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
10. Proficiency in using financial software and advanced MS Excel skills.
