Position: Senior Technical Program Manager (Engineering)
Location: Irvine, CA 5x a week onsite - RELOCATION REIMBURSEMENT AVAILABLE
Compensation: $150,000-200,000 base + EOY bonus
Position Overview:
In this role, you will report directly to the Senior Director of Program Management and Product Operations, playing a pivotal role in the creation of innovative Consumer Networking and Smart Home products. You will oversee the initiation, management, tracking, and reporting of new product development programs, collaborating closely with fellow project managers, cross-functional leaders, and our skilled R&D team.
We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Program Manager to lead cross-functional product development efforts involving multiple teams, including project managers, product management, engineering (Hardware, Firmware, Mobile App, and Cloud Services), QA, marketing, and sales. Your focus will be on defining, developing, and launching new consumer-grade networking and smart home (IoT) products. The ideal candidate will excel in communication, with a strong technical background and the ability to lead and influence teams to meet program objectives. You will balance business priorities and program-level activities to deliver exceptional products on time and within scope.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead new product development and launch activities from inception to market release.
- Identify and address risks and dependencies that may impact delivery timelines by working collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Track, assess, and communicate program progress and key performance indicators (KPIs) in both formal and informal settings.
- Foster effective communication across local and global teams to ensure smooth product delivery.
- Take ownership of the program, ensuring leadership and accountability throughout.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience in engineering program management, managing cross-functional teams from product concept to customer shipment.
- Proactive, with a collaborative approach when working with peers, contributors, and functional leaders.
- Proven experience in managing the full product development lifecycle, including hardware, software, quality assurance, documentation, technical support, and go-to-market/launch processes.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for discussing, planning, reporting, and measuring product development progress.
- Familiarity with product development methodologies and tools like Confluence, Jira, Asana, and MS Project.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Engineering or MBA degree with a focus on program or product management.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
- Fluency in Mandarin and English is highly desirable.
- Understanding of ISO 9001 standards.
