Responsibilities:
- Oversee tax planning, return preparation, and complex tax matters for clients.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of tax professionals.
- Review tax work for accuracy, compliance, and alignment with client strategies.
- Collaborate with accounting, Virtual CFO, and disputes teams to deliver a holistic client experience.
- Meet with key clients to optimize tax strategies and identify service opportunities.
- Implement technology, processes, and KPIs for the tax team.
- Maintain up-to-date client tax records with confidentiality.
- Participate in budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning.
- Stay informed on tax legislation through continuous education
Qualifications:
- Must have at least 2-3 years review and manager experience and be excited about the opportunity to own the tax function.
- Minimum of 6 years of tax experience in an accounting or professional services firm, showcasing your expertise in the field.
- CPA or EA designation, reflecting your commitment to professional excellence.
- Experience leading and managing a team.
- Demonstrate a proven ability to lead and manage teams, handle multiple projects, and engage with diverse clients effectively.
- Showcase high proficiency with tax, accounting, and office software, enabling you to navigate complex tax landscapes with ease.
- Exhibit extensive knowledge of individual, corporate, and partnership tax matters, with additional trust tax knowledge being a plus.
- Embrace a self-accountable and detail-oriented approach to your work, ensuring precision in every aspect of your responsibilities.
