The Senior Tax Manager is responsible for managing the firm’s tax department, maintaining client relationships, and assisting in the growth and sustainability of the department and staff. Primary responsibilities include managing staff workloads, scheduling, new client development, strategy, billing, and production. Additional responsibilities include tax technical knowledge and filing returns both timely and accurately while strategically positioning our clients and staff for growth and value-adding opportunities.

Job Details
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review tax returns.
- Provide tax advice to clients.
- Manage client relationships and acquire new clients.
- Assist with tax planning.
- Handle billing.
- Lead the tax department and ensure goal achievement.
- Manage tax examinations and compliance.
- Optionally prepare income tax provisions (preferred).
- Understand ASC 740 Accounting for Income Taxes (preferred).
- Participate in firm activities and promote the firm positively.
- Perform assigned tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- 7+ years of public accounting or equivalent industry experience
- 3+ years of management experience
- CPA certification in good standing
- Demonstrated client relationship management as well as collaboratively within a team setting
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines
- Provides team members with timely, accurate, and constructive feedback regarding performance
