The Tax Manager will manage and supervise the execution of preparation, tax planning, and work product of associates in accordance with our professional standards.
Senior Tax Associate Responsibilities:
- Prepare tax returns for partnerships, corporations, S-corporations, 990s, trusts, and individuals.
- Prepare payroll and sales tax returns.
- Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to provide industry-specific knowledge and expertise.
- Deliver timely, high-quality client services that meet or exceed client expectations.
- Work with the tax team to ensure all components of the tax process are completed, including preparing, organizing, and maintaining engagement work papers and files, tax planning, and quarterly estimates with direct client interaction.
- Research tax and accounting issues and determine alternative solutions.
- Begin participating in the firm's practice development efforts by engaging with referral sources, community, and industry activities.
Senior Tax Associate Qualifications:
- At least 3 years of public accounting experience in preparing individual and business flow-through entity tax returns.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
- CPA license or CPA candidate preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex information.
- Familiarity with CCH Axcess Tax software and Checkpoint RIA Research is a plus.
- Strong multi-tasking abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, and QuickBooks.
