Your Impact
This position will assist our Senior Director of Tax and our Senior Tax Manager with all facets of direct tax in the U.S. and globally. This role will have direct contact with the Senior Manager of Tax and will work closely with existing members of the tax department.
What You'll Do
Location: Scottsdale, Seattle, San Francisco, Denver, Atlanta, Boston, or Washington D.C./Sterling
- Gather data for all corporate income tax returns in U.S. and globally and coordinate with outside preparer for returns
- Preparation of quarterly estimated tax payments
- Assist with transfer pricing documentation
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly global tax provision computation in accordance with ASC740
- Assist in the maintenance all tax balance sheet accounts on our GL and prepare monthly close procedures, journal entry preparation and account reconciliations as needed
- Maintain the direct tax calendar/task matrix for all compliance duties and deadlines
- Assist with tax audits
- Proactively monitor and operates a robust internal control tax environment in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley or similar requirements
- Respond to questions and issues from business units and functional groups.
- Develop and maintain working relationships outside the finance organization

Skills Required
- Bachelor degree in Business Administration or Financial Accounting, Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation
- 2-4 years of progressive experience in the tax accounting profession
- Experience with preparation and review of tax provisions in accordance with ASC740
- Experience with preparation and review of corporate income tax returns
- Must be a self-starter with an entrepreneur spirit
- Concern for quality and deadlines
- Superb attention to detail, strong planning and organization skills, and the ability to multi-task, prioritize and deliver in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

The Pay: Axon is a total compensation company, meaning compensation is made up of base pay, bonus, and stock awards. The starting base pay for this role is between USD 75,000 in the lowest geographic market and USD 100,000 in the highest geographic market. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: level, function, training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, geographic market, and often a combination of all these factors.
