Position: Senior Tax Accountant - CPA
Location: Plano, TX
Compensation: $95,000 - $115,000 per year
Job Type: Direct Hire
Work Arrangement: On-site five days a week for the first 90 days, then 1-2 days WFH per week

Our client, a reputable CPA firm in Plano, TX, is seeking a Senior Tax Accountant to lead tax projects, manage compliance, and support financial reporting for a diverse client base. This role is ideal for a CPA with a strong tax background and a passion for client success in a collaborative team environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage various tax projects to ensure compliance and accurate, timely delivery.
• Prepare and review tax returns for individual and business clients, applying advanced tax knowledge.
• Conduct research on complex tax issues, respond to inquiries, and resolve tax-related matters.
• Oversee accounting processes and financial reporting for clients.
• Mentor junior staff, supporting their professional development.
• Work closely with partners on client growth strategies and operational improvements.

Qualifications

• CPA Certification is required.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years in public accounting with recent tax return preparation (at least 3 consecutive tax seasons).
• In-depth knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Proficient in accounting software and financial systems.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
