As a senior member of the Technology Services group, the Senior System Engineer is responsible for the design and implementation of production support activities, as well as projects within the assigned concentration of expertise. Senior Systems Engineer concentrations include Virtualization, Active Directory and Storage. The Senior Systems Engineer will provide technical leadership and operational support to your peers within the Systems Engineering team, as well as Technology Services as a whole. Work will entail product evaluation, version and upgrade implementations, ongoing enhancements, handling project tasks for system and network expansion, support, and monitoring. The Senior Systems Engineer will lead system design and performance evaluation efforts and lead and direct projects within our team. This position will report to the Systems Engineering Manager and will have no direct reports.
SUPPORT SYSTEMS
Assigned concentrations of expertise for the Senior Systems Engineer may include Virtualization, Active Directory, or Enterprise Storage. Systems administration responsibilities include desktop and server OS, applications-related administration, perimeter device administration and systems monitoring/management tools which are required to deliver highly available systems and a quality user experience for the Bank’s employees and customers within the concentration area of the Senior System Engineer. The Senior System Engineer will also develop and provide specifications and implement all software configurations to ensure optimized performance of assigned systems and ensure effective and efficient interactions between the assigned technology and all integrated systems and applications.
LEAD PROJECTS
Lead projects related to Technology Services initiatives. Collaborate with Engineers and Administrators to perform assigned tasks. Share ideas, projects, and best practices and help maintain a collaborative, team-oriented work environment.
MAINTAIN SECURITY
In accordance with company and departmental security directives, deploy, maintain, and enhance the security of server and desktop systems through administrative, preventive, detective, and reactive controls, such as change and configuration management, anti-virus measures, patch management, and system scans. Participate in BCP and/or Audit program initiatives as needed.
PROVIDE OPERATIONAL SUPPORT
Ensure ongoing operation of systems/applications through troubleshooting, scheduling/monitoring jobs and technology-related business processes, and third-level end-user support as needed.
PROVIDE TECHNICAL LEADERSHIP
Prepares proposals and technical project plans. Develop solutions to customer business requirements, technical problems and/or engineering of systems/applications. Collaborates with

Technology Services and other forums to develop technical solutions and enhancements. Assists in developing the technical skills of less-experienced peers. Share ideas, projects, and best practices and help create a collaborative, team-oriented work environment.
REQUIREMENTS
7+ years of progressive hands-on experience with Windows 2008/2012/2016 Server in an enterprise network environment, demonstrating extensive knowledge of Microsoft-based system principles and practices
5+ years’ experience with applications and tools within the specific concentration of expertise
Experience in a medium-to-large enterprise AD environment; advanced GPO development and deployment
Excellent project and time management skills; proven ability to function as team leader for multiple
Must thrive in a collaborative work environment with a passion for sharing knowledge and ideas with others
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline preferred, or equivalent education/professional work experience
Specific job posting requirements for a concentration in Active Directory and Related Services
5+ years’ experience with Microsoft domain technologies (Active Directory, ADFS, DNS, DHCP, KMS, NTFS, RDS, etc.) in an enterprise network environment
Extensive experience in development and management of Group Policy
VMWare
Citrix
Applicable Microsoft certifications (required, or in progress)
