The right candidate will:
Lead project teams in structural engineering tasks such as calculations (hand and software-based), analyses, and report preparation. Develop drawings and specifications in coordination with other disciplines from concept to construction documents. Lead and mentor junior staff in person and remotely across our five offices. Support business development by contributing to proposals, estimating, and interviews with potential clients. Support construction administration with RFI responses, submittal reviews and site visits.
Requirements for the Structural Senior Engineer:
The selected Structural Engineer will be proficient in tools used to implement the design such as Revit, AutoCAD, RAM Structural Systems, RISA, RAM concept, ETABs, Mathcad and other material specific design software. The candidate must be eligible to work in the United States and obtain a security clearance. The following are requirements for the position:
- 10+ years of progressively responsible design experience with an emphasis on steel and concrete new and existing structures. Experience with CMU, cold formed steel, and wood is also beneficial as Wiley|Wilson has a wide variety of project types.
- Strong understanding of International Building Code, Whole Building Design Guide, ASCE 7 requirements for environmental loading and other material specific design reference materials.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Civil Engineering (Structural concentration) or Architectural Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
- Registered Professional Engineer (PE) at job location or able to obtain reciprocity within 3 months.
Desirable:
Wiley|Wilson desires a candidate with federal and industrial project experience with familiarity in both Design-Build and Design-Bid-Build procurement structures. Experience in blast design is beneficial. Advanced degree in Structural or Architectural Engineering is a plus.
