We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Permanent Structural Designer to join our dynamic team. This is a unique opportunity to work on a variety of challenging projects that will test and develop your skills in civil engineering, design, projects, RFI, construction, and P.E. This role involves working closely with our team of engineers and architects to design and implement structural systems for various construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering, a keen eye for design, and a passion for creating robust, safe, and visually appealing structures.
Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with a team of engineers and architects to design structural systems for various construction projects.
2. Utilize your expertise in civil engineering to ensure that all designs are structurally sound, safe, and meet all relevant building codes and regulations.
3. Use your skills in design to create structures that are not only robust and safe, but also visually appealing and in line with the overall design vision of the project.
4. Manage projects effectively, ensuring that all work is completed on time and within budget.
5. Respond to RFIs, providing clear, concise, and accurate information to all relevant parties.
6. Oversee all aspects of construction, ensuring that the structural systems are being implemented correctly and resolving any issues that arise.
7. Utilize your P.E. skills to carry out detailed inspections of the structural systems, identifying and addressing any issues that arise.
Qualifications:
1. A bachelor's degree in civil engineering, structural engineering, or a related field is required. A master's degree in a relevant field will be highly regarded.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in civil engineering, design, projects, RFI, construction, and P.E.
3. Strong skills in project management, with a proven track record of managing projects effectively and delivering high-quality work on time and within budget.
4. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to respond to RFIs in a clear, concise, and accurate manner.
5. A keen eye for design, with the ability to create structures that are both structurally sound and visually appealing.
6. A thorough understanding of all relevant building codes and regulations.
7. A strong work ethic, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
8. P.E. certification is highly desirable.
