Experience in the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry is a plus.

responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities:

1. Account Reconciliations
   • Prepare and review account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness.
   • Investigate and resolve reconciling items promptly.
2. Month-End Close Assistance
   • Support the month-end close process, including preparing journal entries and financial reporting.
   • Ensure all deadlines are met for accurate financial reporting.
3. Sales and Use Tax Compliance
   • Prepare and file sales and use tax returns in accordance with state and local regulations.
   • Research and resolve tax discrepancies or issues as needed.
4. GAAP Compliance
   • Ensure financial statements comply with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
   • Stay updated on relevant accounting standards and assist in implementing new requirements.
5. Ownership of Work
   • Take responsibility for assigned tasks and ensure their completion with minimal supervision.
   • Proactively identify areas for process improvement and efficiency.
6. Collaboration
   • Work closely with cross-functional teams to support business operations.
   • Provide assistance during audits and ensure compliance with internal controls.

 
qualifications:

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting,.
• 2-4 years of accounting experience, with familiarity in account reconciliations, sales and use tax, and month-end close processes.
• Strong understanding of GAAP principles
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., JD Edwards, SAP and Excel.
• Experience in the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry is highly desirable.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
