As a Senior/Splunk Cloud Engineer in our Cloud Platforms area, you will work within a diverse team comprised of passionate technologists who believe in the power of innovation and constant collaboration. - Splunk Search Optimization:
- Develop and implement efficient search queries to improve performance and reduce resource consumption.
- Optimize existing searches and dashboards to ensure they run efficiently and return results quickly.
- Use summary indexing, data models, and accelerated data models to enhance search performance.
- Data Optimization:
- Implement data retention policies to manage the lifecycle of data within Splunk.
- Optimize data ingestion processes to ensure minimal latency and efficient use of storage.
- Use techniques such as data summarization and compression to manage large volumes of data effectively.
- Search Optimization Skills:
- Proficiency in creating and optimizing Splunk Search Processing Language (SPL) queries.
- Experience with Splunk’s search optimization tools and techniques, such as tstats, summary indexing, and data model acceleration.
- Data Optimization Skills:
- Strong understanding of data lifecycle management and retention policies.
- Ability to implement data summarization and compression techniques.
- Familiarity with optimizing data ingestion pipelines for performance and efficiency.
- Workload Management Skills:
- Experience in managing and balancing workloads across multiple Splunk instances.
- Ability to prioritize and allocate resources effectively to ensure optimal performance.
- Proficiency in using Splunk’s workload management features to monitor and control resource usage.
- Experience in optimizing large-scale Splunk deployments for search performance and data management.
- Knowledge of best practices for data retention and lifecycle management in Splunk.
- Familiarity with Splunk’s advanced features for data optimization, such as data models and summary indexing.
