Moorecroft is seeking to hire a Senior Software Engineer in the Burbank area. Exciting and engaging consulting role in a fast-paced environment. Long-term engagement with potential to extend.

Senior Software Engineer

Onsite at least 2x per week

Location: Burbank, CA

• Expertise in Tech Stack: Extensive experience with the LAMP stack, including WordPress and Laravel, and server-side PHP.
• Development Experience: 10+ years of hands-on CMS development, client-side (HTML, JavaScript, CSS) and server-side development.
• AWS Proficiency: 10+ years supporting web applications in AWS, including RDS, CloudFront, ECS, Lambda, and experience with AWS caching techniques.
• Leadership and Mentorship: Ability to lead solution delivery, provide technical guidance, and mentor development teams.
• Technical Architecture: Skills in designing and architecting scalable, high-performance systems and applications.
• Project Management: Experience with project management methodologies (Scrum, Waterfall, XP) and managing project risks.
• Compliance and Security: 5+ years of compliance analysis and enforcement, with a focus on data security and privacy regulations.
• Communication Skills: Effective at liaising between technical and non-technical stakeholders and communicating complex concepts clearly.
• Continuous Learning: Commitment to staying up-to-date with industry trends and evaluating new technologies.
• Adaptability and Initiative: Ability to adapt to shifting priorities, self-manage, and demonstrate ownership and urgency in a fast-paced environment.
