Clearance: The majority of positions require a Top Secret security clearance, based on current background investigation (SBI), as well as the favorable completion of polygraph. Clearance and polygraph processing will be completed by the U.S. Government.

Responsibilities:The candidate should be able to assume a development role in an organization that has a secure and mature Kubernetes infrastructure built inside AWS. This includes the ability to understand security constraints and details regarding the use of certificates in the environment. Candidate will be required to review and understand systems that are configured using best practices and modified using Python. Usage of micro services in a clustered cloud environment should be understood and the effective candidate should be able to recommend courses of action that improve reliability, security, and maintainability. Familiarity with key parts of Kubernetes deployments is a must as is a clear understanding of current AWS product offerings. Candidate should be proficient using source code control processes and ticketing tools in a technologically diverse and fast-moving environment.

Twenty (20) years experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Four (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
Discretionary Requirements
Cloud Experience: Shall have five (5) years demonstrated work experience with distributed scalable Big Data Store (NoSQL) such as Hbase, CloudBase/Acumulo, Big Table, etc.; Shall have demonstrated work experience with the Map Reduce programming model and technologies such as Hadoop, Hive, Pig, etc.; Shall have demonstrated work experience with the Hadoop Distributed File System (HDFS); Shall have demonstrated work experience with Serialization such as JSON and/or BSON
