Job Description:

We are seeking a GKE CRD Developer with expertise in Istio to build and manage Custom Resource Definitions (CRDs) for a cloud-native environment. You'll play a key role in extending Istio’s capabilities within Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), focusing on networking, security, and automation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage CRDs to extend Istio's functionality for GKE-based applications.

• Create OpenAPI v3 schemas to validate custom resources.

• Implement Kubernetes Operators to automate workflows.

• Collaborate on CI/CD pipelines and integrate GitOps practices.

• Troubleshoot and optimize GKE environments, ensuring service mesh performance.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience with Kubernetes and GKE.

• Strong knowledge of Istio (e.g., Envoy, VirtualService, DestinationRule).

• Proficiency with OpenAPI v3, Helm, and Kubernetes resource validation.

• Experience with Go or Python for developing custom controllers.

• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes Operators (Kubebuilder, Operator SDK).

• Familiarity with GitOps, CI/CD, and cloud platforms like GCP
