Title: Senior Research Associate
Location: Bridgewater, NJ
Hours/Schedule: 8:30am - 5:30pm
Type: Contract
Overview: Leading Pharmaceutical Company in NJ is seeking a Research Scientist with at least 2 years of experience in performing in-vitro assays. If you want to contribute to groundbreaking work in neutrophil-mediated disease research, please apply!
Responsibilities:
- Work with a multidisciplinary team of research scientists to investigate therapeutics for treating neutrophil-mediated diseases.
- Assist with cell culture, in vitro hematopoietic stem cell expansion and differentiation, and in vitro compound screening.
- Perform enzymatic assays, ex vivo sample processing, and various molecular biology techniques including flow cytometry, western blot, and ELISA.
- Utilize plate readers, fluorescence microscopy, and flow cytometry.
- Perform data analysis using Excel, XLfit, FlowJo, and GraphPad Prism.
- Maintain proper documentation of experimental procedures and results via an electronic laboratory notebook.
- Write and review technical reports.
- Present scientific results in internal research meetings.
- Prepare and maintain a constant supply of reagents, buffers, and other materials to support ongoing assays.
Requirements:
- At least 2 years of experience in pharmaceuticals performing in-vitro assays including various compound screening assays and enzymatic assays.
- Proficiency with flow cytometry, ELISA, and western blot.
- Experience utilizing plate readers, fluorescence microscopy, and flow cytometry.
- Skilled in data analysis using Excel, XLfit, FlowJo, and GraphPad Prism.
- Experience working with primary cells such as neutrophils, hematopoietic stem cells, immune cells, and/or relevant cell lines to support in vitro/ex vivo experiments.
- Hands-on experience with cell culture and standard molecular biology assays, including enzymatic assays, flow cytometry, and western blot.
- Strong data processing, analysis, statistics, and data interpretation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively and efficiently in a team environment.
- High degree of organization and time management skills required.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific discipline; advanced degree preferred.
- No specific licenses or certifications required.
