Senior Quality Assurance Analyst - Motion Recruitment

Our client is seeking a Sr. QA Analyst for a long-term (years) contract in Quincy, MA (hybrid).

Day to day:

• Assist in the testing activities for the current eligibility mainframe system, supporting integrated services, and the MA21 AWS Cloud rehosting project in support of the One Health Initiative.
• Design and develop test cases and execute them using manual and automated methods.
• Conduct requirements analysis, develop day-over-day test metric reporting, and review test cases and scenarios to ensure software compliance.
• Work closely with the Test Manager to oversee the day-to-day test execution, defect tracking, reporting results, and facilitate daily status calls.

Detailed List of Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Analyze business requirements documentation on Mainframe and Web enterprise systems.
• Participate in JAD sessions and technical walkthroughs, contributing to requirement details.
• Conduct GAP analysis to identify deficiencies in functional requirements and testing approaches.
• Design and execute functional and regression test cases, ensuring thorough coverage and compliance with MA21 standards.
• Identify, report, and escalate defects, ensuring resolution through accountability and structured processes.
• Participate in defect triage meetings and stand-up calls, providing defect updates and root cause analysis.
• Create and maintain test documentation (test plans, test case results, summaries) post-release.
• Ensure timely project delivery while adhering to budgets, schedules, and quality standards.
• Follow Client’s SQA IT standard operating practices, methodologies, and tools (MA21 Mainframe, MassForge, Jira, SharePoint).

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 8+ years of manual testing experience
• Hands on experience with Mainframe and Sharepoint
• Hands on SQL scripting experience
• Experience with JIRA for tracking.
• In-depth knowledge of software testing approaches and techniques for certifying software acceptance.
• Proficiency in MS Office, including MS Project.
