Purpose
As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible and accountable for the successful management of all aspects of client engagements.
The key focus will be on providing high-quality implementation with exceptional customer satisfaction through expectation management, proactive communication, and close management of issues/risks.
The individual will lead a cross-functional team including technical interface consultants, expert professional service consultants, and technical systems consultants. In addition, the Senior Project Manager will be responsible for leading process improvement initiatives across the Project Management team and mentoring other Project Managers.
The Senior Project Manager regularly exercises discretion and judgment related to matters of significance while performing the duties and responsibilities of the job.

Essential Functions
x Responsible for the planning, organization, and management of large-scale implementations with full accountability for meeting project deadlines
x Proactively sets and manages expectations with internal and external stakeholders at the Director and above levels regarding project scope, deliverables, timelines, status reporting, and issues and risks.
x Demonstrates a clear understanding of highly effective communication and influencing to project teams, internal leadership, external leadership, and other project stakeholders
x Utilizes knowledge of PMI and Clinisys to establish Project Management Processes and Methodology to drive projects to be on time, on budget, and with a high degree of customer satisfaction.
x Collaborates with teams across the Clinisys organization to ensure product challenges are documented, deliverables are met, and client handoffs are seamless.
x Drives continual process improvement in the Project Management and other implementation teams.
x Mentors Associate Project Managers and Project Managers in leadership skills, influencing, and adherence to standard practices
x Partners with Program Managers and Project Management Leadership to identify challenges and work to resolve them
x All other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Skills needed to be successful
x Strong understanding of Microsoft Windows, MS Office, and standard office equipment
x Demonstrated ability to influence positive outcomes with internal and external constituents as part of driving progress on implementation engagements
x Excellent analytical skills, with an ability to understand and solve problems, identify improvement opportunities, and create effective action plans during the performance of assigned tasks
x Demonstrated ability to work concurrently on multiple projects in a matrix setting
x Excellent written and verbal communication skills and present to all levels of leadership
x Demonstrated leadership and ability to prioritize one’s workload, work independently and autonomously, and work with a project team (2-6 players), in a team environment that requires quick turnaround and quality output.
x Solid knowledge of medical laboratory workflows, project management methods, practices, tools, and techniques
Required Experience & Education
x Bachelor’s degree in Business or related discipline or equivalent experience
x 5 years of experience in a project management role, managing large-scale software implementations with external clients, this is not the role for you
x 5 years’ experience partnering with key client stakeholders at the director level or above
x PMP or PRINCE2 Certification or ability to obtain certification within 2 years of employment
Preferred Experience & Education
x Previous experience is hospital laboratories
x Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification

Physical Requirements
x Work is performed in a normal office setting with minimal exposure to health or safety hazards. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
x Up to 25% travel may be required.
x Moderate lifting/carrying 15-44 lbs.; use of fingers; walking/standing 2-6 hours
x Travel to client sites that can pose risks associated with healthcare organizations.
x May be required to follow customer location health and safety requirements

The starting pay range for a candidate selected for this position who is based in Colorado is generally within the range of $94,600 to $134,300 for an annual base salary. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay may be above or below this range.
