Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead high-stakes commercial construction projects with a focus on quality, safety, and client satisfaction. Reporting to the Executive Vice President, the Senior Project Manager will oversee project teams, build strong relationships with stakeholders, and ensure compliance with contracts, schedules, and budgets. This position combines strategic oversight with hands-on leadership, creating a dynamic environment for career growth and meaningful impact.
Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Supervision: Directly supervise project managers and superintendents, supporting their performance and development. Conduct regular project health meetings to review schedules, budgets, and quality.
- Contract Oversight and Compliance: Interpret, enforce, and defend legal and construction documents, ensuring adherence to prime contracts and safety policies. Ensure the project environment aligns with OSHA regulations.
- Problem Resolution and Escalation: Address complex project and client issues, offering resolution strategies or escalating to executive management as necessary.
- Stakeholder Relationships: Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with owners, architects, and subcontractors. Serve as the senior company representative in client and trade partner meetings.
- Project Close-Out: Ensure projects are closed out quickly and accurately, maintaining quality and accuracy in the final stages of project delivery.
- Performance and Growth Support: Regularly assess team performance, recommending training or development programs to encourage personal and professional growth.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a construction-related field or equivalent technical training and experience.
- 10+ years in senior project management or project executive roles within commercial construction.
- Proficiency in project estimation, scheduling, and job costing.
- Strong negotiation skills with sub-contractors and knowledge of contract forms.
- Exceptional organizational, planning, and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software.
- Exceptional communication skills and a commitment to client satisfaction.
