Ameresco is looking for a Senior Project Manager to help with managing projects in upstate New York. The expectation is that this person will report to the Framingham, MA office at least once or twice a week, while also traveling to upstate New York to manage ongoing projects.
Responsibilities:
+ Provide day-to-day management and oversight of on-site construction management resources deployed to construct Distributed Energy Resource Projects.
+ Oversee the maintenance of up-to-date project construction schedules for all projects under management;
+ Identify, develop and implement project acceleration and schedule recovery strategies.
+ Supervise the preparation of regular project budget updates and forecasts of future costs for all projects managed.
+ Provide management level coordination with equipment vendors, labor subcontractors and professional services subcontractors in support of on-time, on-budget performance within the specified work scope and quality.
+ Conduct regular site-visits to projects in construction to review progress, performance and provide direction to on-site construction management staff and major subcontractor management.
+ Support engineering and design development teams with project scoping, cost estimating and scheduling
+ Assist in developing project specific construction contracting strategies, review of bid packages, subcontractor selection and contracting.
+ Oversee the preparation of regular construction progress reporting to internal company and external customer recipients.
+ Manage project expenditures and job cost accounting processes: including accuracy, documentation, approvals, payment reporting, and tracking.
+ Ensure compliance with company, industry, trade, federal, and jurisdictional safety standards, practices, codes.
+ Expected to work on Gas to Electric heating conversions, Lighting, CHP, BESS, Solar PV, Microgrids and Fuel Cell as well as other Renewable Projects.
+ Travel Required to Project and Meeting sites in the Northeast.
+ Foster positive and effective business relationships at all levels and project phases.
+ Perform other duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
+ Bachelors Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or energy infrastructure-related our-year technical engineering degree.
+ Minimum of 15 years related work experience in ESPC and/or Solar PV Construction Projects
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
+ Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and foster positive business relationships.
+ Strong verbal, written, computer, technical communication, and presentation skills.
+ Proficient computer skills including MS Word, Excel, MS Project, and cloud-based construction management software such as Procore, or equivalent.
+ Construction management certifications or state licensing.
