We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Project Manager for our Commercial Construction team. This is a permanent full-time position with the flexibility of working remotely for three days a week. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in managing large-scale construction projects from conception to completion, demonstrating exceptional leadership, negotiation, and project management skills. You will play a crucial role in planning, executing, and evaluating projects according to predetermined timelines and budgets, ensuring that the highest standards of quality and safety are maintained at all times.
Responsibilities:
1. Overseeing all stages of project life cycle management from initiation to completion.
2. Developing and managing detailed project plans, including resource allocation, schedule, and budget.
3. Conducting pre-construction meetings and coordinating with architects, subcontractors, and construction teams to ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
4. Implementing effective communication plans and ensuring project team and stakeholders are well informed of project progress and changes.
5. Maintaining strict adherence to quality control procedures, ensuring the highest level of construction standards.
6. Negotiating contracts with external vendors to reach profitable agreements.
7. Ensuring all legal requirements, building and safety codes, safety inspections, city guidelines, and local and state regulations are met.
8. Conducting regular site inspections to monitor progress and adherence to standards.
9. Identifying potential risks and implementing mitigation strategies to manage these effectively.
10. Preparing and presenting progress and budget reports to stakeholders.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in the construction industry, specifically in a project management role.
2. Proven experience in managing large-scale commercial construction projects.
3. Proficient in project management software, contract management, budgeting, and cost estimation.
4. Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
5. Excellent negotiation skills with a proven track record of successful contract negotiation.
6. Strong knowledge of construction procedures, materials, and project management principles.
7. Excellent problem-solving abilities and a hands-on attitude.
8. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
9. A degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or related field is preferred.
10. Professional Project Management (PMP) certification would be considered an asset.
