Project Manager - Honeywell Building Technologies - Honeywell

Join a team of development program professionals to support dev programs within one of Honeywell's businesses. You will help implement program plans, budgets, schedules and execute a programmatic MOS, support forecasting & capacity analysis related to delivery requirements. You will play an important role in the IPDS process and strategies to achieve committed business performance. You will support business leaders and present programmatic details, requirements, actions, and status as assigned. You will also be working under moderate supervision of the program manager to execute on scope, schedule, cost, delivery, earned value & quality while demonstrating PM skills including risk management.




Key Responsibilities


+ Acts as the primary on-site leader for execution teams on assigned projects.


+ Develops project schedules and executes according to plan for assigned projects.


+ Evaluates the contractual scope of work and the impact of client issued bulletins, field directives and / or scheduling changes. Actively pursues additional work through change orders.Performs associated cost estimates, prepares proposals and negotiates final settlement price and customer acceptance.


+ Manages costs, billings and collections. Completes project billings in a timely and accurate format to the client.


+ Maintains profitability goals and positive cash flow.


+ Reviews and interprets contract Terms and Conditions.


+ Analyzes financial reporting systems and project schedules to proactively address potential problems to ensure on time and on budget delivery of assigned projects. Effectively communicates project progress, issues and financial status to management as required.


+ Manages risks and establishes project recovery plans when required.Resolves disputes with minimal need for escalation.


+ Negotiates, prepares and issues subcontracts.


+ Ensures project document controls are in compliance with contract requirements and Honeywell standards.


+ Oversees project construction for compliance with specifications, local codes and installation techniques.


+ Manages the selection, ordering, and delivery schedule of materials to be procured for the projects assigned.


+ Develops and maintains viable long-term relationships with customers, consultants, prime contractors and subcontractors.Leads job progress meetings as required.Ensures subcontractors understand expectations of the project.


+ Coordinates with the Local Installation Manager and / or Systems Team Leader for allocation of resources needed to meet project objectives. Ensures any engineering and commissioning performed by the field team is in accordance with established standards. Facilitates escalation of product related problems.


+ Assists Branch Manager and / or sales in project development efforts.


+ Coordinates customer-training requirements.


+ Grow the business, manage change, and satisfy customers by building effective team relationships.


+ Mentor operational staff on best practices, proper project controls, and training that will provide the most value and provide opportunities for advancement.


+ Validate project staffing plans, subcontracts, schedules, and financial plans..


+ Be familiar with the construction dispute resolution process and use your knowledge of contract documents, labor laws, construction contracts, and construction administration to minimize risk and advise other staff.


+ Enhancing productivity by uniformly evaluating behaviors and results of all operational staff and performance managing to a specific level of expectation.


+ Technical problem solving skills required to identify issues and use resources of a matrixed organization to effectively resolve and implement solutions.


+ This position requires 60% travel.


YOU MUST HAVE


+ 5 to 10 years’ relevant program or project management experience


+ Experience in building technology (fire, security, alarms or other building controls) within the commercial/industrial construction industry


+ Creating or co-creating project/program budgets


+ Experience managing portfolio of multiple projects concurrently


+ BS/BA degree in engineering or business
