About the team/role
Checkr is looking for a Senior Product Marketing Manager who will play a critical role on the team, driving awareness and adoption of our background check services and platform features.
This is a role for someone who has a versatile mix of analytical and storytelling skills, and is strategic with positioning and messaging. If you enjoy working cross-functionally with marketing, product, sales, and solutions, and are comfortable wearing multiple hats (including research, GTM program management, sales enablement, content creation, and more) this opportunity might be a great fit for you.
We’re looking for a strong product marketer with significant experience in B2B product marketing, especially in managing a portfolio of software products within a broader platform and working with customer-facing teams to successfully sell to mid-market and enterprise audiences.
What you’ll do
- Develop the high-level product positioning and messaging for Checkr products, with focus on our criminal search products, our motor vehicle record search products, and possibly other product areas.
- Drive the go-to-market strategy for your products, and lead the end-to-end product launch process, managing cross-functional implementation and post-launch measurement, demonstrating impact.
- Understand and support our sales channels; train teams on the problems we solve for our buyers in this segment; develop internal tools and external collateral and enable them on how and when to use it – playbooks, talking points, and presentation decks.
- Conduct customer and market research to support the overall go-to-market strategy, identify new business opportunities, conduct pricing analysis, and assess market demand.
- Be a key enablement partner on our product and competitive differentiation, creating deliverables such as product overview decks, competitive battlecards, and messaging guides.
- Work with the product team to inform and influence the product strategy and roadmap, based on market demand, competitor intelligence, and customer insights.
What you bring
- 6+ years of B2B product marketing experience, with experience marketing a portfolio of software products.
- Prior experience bringing new solutions to market as part of a B2B SaaS company.
- Strong experience enabling customer-facing teams sell to mid-market and enterprise companies.
- Natural storytelling skills with a gift for writing and the ability to create compelling content that speaks to customer pain points.
- Proven ability to be a voice of the customer with significant experience leading research and competitive analysis to influence GTM strategy and product roadmaps.
- Strong project management skills, ability to inspire cross-functional teams (from an executive-level to individual contributor-levels), spearhead complex plans, and present with ease to wide-ranging audiences, including internal stakeholders, webinars, trainings, and industry events.
- Proven self-starter with a bias for action and can-do attitude to get things done and deliver positive business impact.
- Highly effective listening and critical thinking skills with deep customer empathy.
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced work environments, juggle multiple initiatives successfully, and show adeptness at leveraging data to inform recommendations.
What you’ll get
- A fast-paced and collaborative environment.
- Learning and development allowance.
- Competitive compensation and opportunity for advancement.
- 100% medical, dental, and vision coverage.
- Up to $25K reimbursement for fertility, adoption, and parental planning services.
- Flexible PTO policy.
- Monthly wellness stipend, home office stipend.

Why are you being asked to complete this form?
We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.
Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
