Senior Principal Omniverse Engineer - Remote at SoftServe

The Omniverse Principal Engineer will design complex software architectures, leveraging 3D modeling, applying simulation and computational optimization techniques, utilizing Industry 4.0 patterns and have a good understanding of the industrial technology domain, have participated in product design, factory (re)design, advanced automation, production planning, and optimization.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Become a part of the Center of Excellence at SoftServe (CTO organization) and work closely with other practice leaders (Robotics, IoT, AI/ML, Big Data, XR) to build innovative Industrial Metaverse solutions in the industrial domains like Manufacturing, Automotive, Energy, Supply Chain, Logistics and Warehousing, leveraging NVIDIA Omniverse and other cutting-edge technologies
• Lead implementation of the Industrial Metaverse solutions for selected customers, learn new technologies, and design solution vision in cooperation with the architects, technology experts, and Industry SMEs
• Create tailored Industrial Digital Twin and Metaverse solutions in close cooperation with the customer
• Define how innovative Digital Twin and Industrial Metaverse solutions can solve industrial challenges, covering processes and technologies
• Define use cases and evaluate ROI for different customers, running ideation sessions, and workshops, and leveraging your advisory skills
• Devine value proposition and accelerators for selected Industries (Manufacturing, Automotive, Warehouse), leveraging process simulation tools, NVIDIA Omniverse technologies, and other advanced technologies
• Build an effective engagement strategy considering customer needs and business objectives
• Manage risk and make decisions regarding timelines, deliverables, and priorities on a customer’s project
• Learn new technologies and design solution visions in cooperation with architects, technology experts, and Industry SMEs

Preferred Competencies & Experience

• Excellent understanding of concepts like Digital Twins, Industrial Metaverse, and the “simulation first” approach
• Deep understanding of PLM principles, MBSE and digital thread, material flow, OEE, etc.
• Hands-on experience with Python for 5+ years (or other OOL such as C++, C#)

Proven record of success in at least one of the following areas:

• 3D graphics (including point cloud to 3D), hands-on experience with one of the following tools and technologies: Omniverse, Unity, Unreal Engine, CAD-based tools, and technologies
• Hands-on experience with implementing comprehensive PLM workflow and manufacturing engineering solutions using Siemens NX, Teamcenter, or similar
• Simulation of material flows and logistics processes for production facilities or warehouses using FlexSim, Emulate 3D, Siemens Tecnomatix, Dassault
• A seasoned expert in applying SDLC best practices on projects, defining a roadmap and up to creating WBS, estimating efforts, implementing solutions
• Applying Big Data, ML/AI, IoT, XR/VR technologies to solve industrial challenges, such as visual quality control, predictive maintenance, operational analytics, virtual training or similar is a big plus
• Seasoned with Kubernetes (Helm), designing CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with delivering solutions in the Manufacturing, Automotive, Aerospace, or Warehousing domains
• Driving strategic initiatives and implementation of complex projects or solutions

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Information Technology, Business, or related discipline). Advanced degrees are a plus.
