About the Job
The EPM team is responsible for the administration and development of planning and reporting applications as deployed on the Oracle EPM suite of products in the cloud. The Oracle EPM solution is a critical application supporting Dealer Accounting and Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) departments.
The EPM team supports the:
Actual close cycles for Corporate Accounting
Forecast and annual operating plan cycles for FP&A
Performance management and external reporting
The EPM Team collaboratively works with both the Dealer Finance and IT organizations to support the functional and technical requirements of the EPM Solution. You will be responsible for supporting the EPM team's operational effectiveness, enhancing the EPM Solution and developing new solutions to meet evolving business requirements.
Responsibilities
- Reporting to the AVP, IT Lead FP&A, the EPM Consultant is responsible for supporting, developing, and administering the firm's Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) system
- The EPM Consultant works directly with Finance and IT to maintain functionality, support the user base, develop, and implement technical solutions, and will provide expertise to help with the long-term evolution of the EPM platform
- Provide ongoing support of the Oracle Hyperion Planning, Essbase, Financial Management (HFM), FDMEE, and FR applications ****
- Perform routine maintenance of the Hyperion applications, including metadata, security, data, calculation rules/scripts, and batch files
- Act as a point of contact for Hyperion-related issues, and once identified - troubleshoot and work through to resolution
- Automate Excel based VB macro reports using Smart view/Hyperion FR
- Coordinate with systems management, infrastructure, and external consulting teams to implement patches, system upgrades, maintenance releases and application backups
- Participate in the design, development, enhancement and testing of Hyperion applications in accordance with requirements and business processes
- Develop test plans and documentation to demonstrate compliance with corporate and IT governance practices
- Provide support for ongoing major projects
- Listening, communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
Qualifications
- Degree in Computer Science or related field
- Extensive experience with Hyperion
- Experience in Hyperion Essbase (ASO, BSO, MDX, MAXL), Smart View, Financial Reporting Studio, and FDMEE required
- Basic understanding of financial statements
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail required
- Ability to work independently and to work through and resolve issues with little supervision
