Senior Network Engineer - Oxford Solutions, Inc

Oxford solutions has a contract opening working onsite in Germantown, MD for a Senior Network Engineer.

As a Senior Network Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, troubleshooting, and managing the routing and switching of our enterprise customers networks.

Responsibilities

• Manage routing and switching for enterprise customer networks.
• Work on Windows and Linux servers to troubleshoot network issues and to analyze network performance.
• Utilize Python programming for configuration management in the cloudify orchestration system.
• Automate processes using Python to improve efficiency and reliability.
• Provide advanced technical support and assistance to customers as needed.
• Mentor junior network engineers and provide guidance on best practices.
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure the seamless integration and operation of network systems.

Qualifications:

• MS degree in Telecommunications, Computer Engineering, or related field with 2+ years of experience in Customer Network Engineering, OR
  BS degree in Telecommunications, Computer Engineering,or related field with 5+ years of experience in Customer Network Engineering.
• Extensive experience in designing, implementing, troubleshooting, and managing enterprise networks.
• Hands-on experience with networking products from vendors such as Cisco, Fortinet, Meraki, Velcloud, and Cradlepoint.
• Proficiency in Python programming for configuration management and process automation.
• CCNP, Fortinet NSE, or equivalent certification is highly desirable.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex network issues.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members.
• Ability to lead projects and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
