Responsibilities:Your Role:
The Senior Mechanical Engineer is responsible for researching, implementing, and applying new technology and applications. This role will assist with automation of machines relating to manufacturing of products and reliability of equipment. In addition, position will apply creativity and vision to our manufacturing processes. Ultimately, you are responsible for new machine design, continuous improvement of existing machine designs, and support of new product development. You will have the opportunity to:
- Responsible for machine builds, assembly, testing, and integration of equipment into customer’s equipment.
- Lead complex machinery design and build projects for new and existing slider components and systems.
- Provide hands-on mechanical support of the design, fabrication, installation, and startup of our application systems.
- Work with machine partners to design and integrate our application systems and ensure our application systems work successfully with their machines.
- Troubleshoot and resolve process problems with applications systems.
- Take the lead on forming engineering solutions for application of new products via new machines, retrofit of existing machines for new products, and continuous improvement of existing machine platforms.
- Act as internal consultant providing mechanical guidance on the most complex projects and problems by applying creativity, innovation, tools, methods, and techniques integrated with technical insights, knowledge, and experience to form conclusions and resolutions.

We need you to have:
- BS degree in Engineering.
- 5+ years of professional and progressive engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Previous experience with design and implementation of new machines and existing machine improvements.
- Experience with troubleshooting of machinery and manufacturing processes.
- Proficient in MS Office.
- Proficient in the use of Auto CAD Inventor 3-D software or equivalent software.
- Strong hands-on experience working with equipment and processes.
- Basic electronic control knowledge (PLC, temp controls, motor/drive controls, etc.).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills and the ability to communicate and influence at all levels within the organization.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills, with solid attention to detail.
- A commitment to excellence and continuous improvement with experience in various Continuous Improvement Processes and Initiatives (i.e. 5S, Value Stream, Six Sigma, TPM).
- Solid project management capabilities, with the ability to organize and manage multiple projects simultaneously from origin through execution.
- Proficient in SAP or Oracle.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule during key business deadlines.
- Must be team-oriented with the ability to work on high collaboration and performance teams.
- Ability to travel approximately 10-20% of the time.
Icing on the cake:
- BS degree in Engineering.
- MBA or other advanced degree.
- Experience with injection molding and profile extrusion.
