Senior Mechanical Engineer - Lumicity

Senior Mechanical Engineer / Long Beach, CA

This position is for a company located in Long Beach, CA and is an on-site position. The successful person will have a Mechanical Engineering background with experience working on rotating equipment, ideally in an industrial, oil & gas, chemical process, aerospace or automotive industry.

Responsibilities:

• Design, test and build hardware components
• Take ownership of design, manufacturing and assembly of prototypes
• Perform hand calculations and detail analysis
• Make sure product testing and validation meet required standards
• Ownership of bearings and rotor dynamics
• Responsible for detailed mechanical analysis of all components and performance of hardware development

Experience Required:

• 3+ years mechanical design engineering experience of hardware components
• Experience with Rotating Equipment / Turbomachinery
• Industrial equipment: Hydraulics, Bearings, Compressors, Piping, Valves
• ANSYS experience (Thermal)
• Design: Siemens NX or other CAD software

Qualifications:

• BS or higher in Mechanical Engineering, or similar technical discipline
