Job Details
Our client is looking for a Senior Inventory Accountant. They are looking for someone who has strong inventory, fixed asset and cost accounting. For the upper end of compensation, the candidate would need to travel out of state on an as needed basis to manufacturing locations.
The successful candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting principles, a proactive attitude, and the ability to self solution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.
- Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Oversee general ledger activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and adjustments.
- Analyze financial data and provide insights to support decision-making.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
- Support audits, both internal and external, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and improve financial reporting.
- Mentor and guide junior accounting staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
- Stay updated with changes in accounting standards and ensure compliance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 6+ years of experience in accounting, with a solid understanding of accounting principles.
- Strong proficiency in accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle).
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Leadership qualities with a desire to mentor and develop junior team members.
