About the Job
We are looking for an experienced project manager with demonstrated success planning, initiating, and managing complex information technology (IT) projects. They will lead and guide the work of technical staff across disciplines such as compute, development, data, and geospatial sciences. The successful candidate serves as the liaison between business and technical aspects of projects. They will lead all project lifecycle stages and assess business implications for each stage. Monitor progress to assure deadlines, standards, and cost targets are met.

Major responsibilities include:
- Responsible for identifying internal and external strategic issues and opportunities that could affect growth and profitability of the organization.
- Activities include: Identifying growth opportunities, business model innovation, and facilitating cross-program and project unit initiatives.
- Managing performance-based metrics, such as financials, staffing, compliance, and quality, for project(s) and/or a program.
- Monitoring medium to long-term project and program trends/outlooks, contributes to strategic business planning discussions with leadership.
- Identifying and negotiating strategic partnerships including financial arrangements, customer sharing, and intellectual property rights.
- Prioritizing and tracking developments and projects across a client account.
- Due to program requirements, this position requires the ability obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
- Due to program requirements, this position requires US Citizenship.
- 7+ years of experience as an Information Technology project manager for a government agency.
- University degree (BS) in a closely related field (Information Technology, Business Administration).

Preferred Key Skills and Abilities:
- Demonstrated understanding and success leading complex technology projects.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or PMI-Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) certifications strongly preferred.
- Proven success meeting client requirements, project milestones, and financial metrics.
- Exceptional stakeholder relationship management with customer executives, sponsors, and technical team members.
- Past experience with EPA program offices, regions, and/or programs preferably with the Office of Mission Support.

Pay Transparency
Maximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to job location, a candidate's education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment. Annual salary is just one component of Maximus's total compensation package. Other rewards may include short- and long-term incentives as well as program-specific awards. Additionally, Maximus provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off. Compensation ranges may differ based on contract value but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience. An applicant's salary history will not be used in determining compensation. Maximus will comply with regulatory minimum wage rates and exempt salary thresholds in all instances.
