Responsibilities:
- Deliver complete, executable design product related to fire, mechanical and plumbing needs.
- Field-verify existing site conditions to obtain information concerning problem areas of engineering design.
- Provide specifications and cost estimates for materials and labor and incorporates applicable code requirements for large and small construction projects.
- Coordinate with Technical Managers in Engineering Design to ensure that assigned projects are complete, integrated, and satisfy the requirements of the work order.
- Review technical criteria pertaining to project scope to determine if the completed project will perform as intended. Screen review comments to determine if they are within the project's contract scope and comply with pertinent technical criteria.
- Initiate and coordinate measures to resolve project's significant technical and engineering problems.
- Produce design products consisting of plans, specifications and estimates necessary to assure successful completion of projects assigned.
- Responsible for ensuring design products follow applicable safety rules and regulations, as well as applicable building codes.
- Will act as contract lead, including onsite Point of Contact for Client and contract staff.
- Prepare for and attend Client and Member Corporate meetings to provide status reports on job lists (active and pending projects), progress, and issues or opportunities.
- Train and assist contract staff as required to support contract deliverables and performance requirements in accordance with the Performance Work Statement (or SOW).
- Provide contract support status, reporting information (monthly reports and others as required), and feedback to Corporate PM and staff.
- Successfully complete any necessary (on-going) trainings as required.
- Travel is needed.
- Bachelor of Science degree from accredited school of Engineering or Engineering Technology
- 4 years of practical experience
- 2 years of experience leading a product team
- Ability to pass government background check and security screening
