Our client is a global, $4B distributor in the Chicagoland area that has exhibited tremendous growth in the last few years. This organization is looking to hire a new Senior Financial Analyst on the commercial finance side of the business to support one of the major product lines in the business. This Senior Financial Analyst will be tasked with managing the annual budgeting, forecasting, working along side the senior sales executive and will also interact with top customers to maintain and exceed margin targets and key performance indicators. Responsibilities:

• Analysis of trends, costs, revenues, variances to budget and prior year's activity.
• Using large data sets be able to come up with meaningful analytics that drive the numbers of the business going forward.
• Preparation of templates for internal annual budgeting.
• Coordinate the revenue budget process and scheduling budget review meetings.
• Work with heads of departments on annual budget preparation and review.
• Prepare monthly reconciliations for assigned balance sheet accounts.
• Prepare monthly commentary on sales margin and freight expenses vs budget and prior years.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance
• 4+ years experience
• Public accounting experience a plus
• MBA a plus
• Extensive work with budgeting and forecasting
• Must reside in Chicagoland area
