Role Overview:
Based in the Los Angeles/Carson corporate headquarters, Dermalogica is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to manage the FP&A and Analytics functions within the Finance Department. The exposure this role provides to the heads of channels will enable the successful candidate to develop their ability to manage senior-level stakeholders, adapt to changing priorities, and understand the role finance plays in businesses of differing levels of maturity.
The candidate will be involved in commercial business partnering, managing business information and analytics, and digital controllership of a multichannel, complex company. The candidate will manage the regular reporting process with decks to be presented to the leadership team, CFO, and CEO on the company performance. Additionally, the candidate will help drive the business insights through analytics utilizing the latest tools such as Tableau, Power BI, and other automation platforms.
We are looking for an individual with the energy and the capacity to get the job done. This person will be leading various financial projects and will play a key role supporting the US leadership team, so great management and communication skills are crucial.
Key Responsibilities:
This role includes primary responsibility for supporting our business partners across the US and providing thought leadership and analytical insight that drives the achievement of business goals. The candidate will be responsible for driving the US analytical agenda across all sales channels. He/She needs to drive the most important business metrics in the company, such as influence customer churn and improve leads conversion, AOV in the .com channel, and ROI. The ideal candidate will empower people across the business with information as well as by supporting our entrepreneurial culture through building, testing, and iterating hypotheses.
Primary Scope:
1. Business planning
- Support the US Finance Director in managing the annual business planning and target setting process.
- Through the planning process, ensure the impact on growth, gross margin and cash delivery is understood in the context of the 3-year strategic plan.
2. Performance management
- Partner the US Finance Director to define the performance management cycle through the key performance metrics and ‘moments’. Ensure alignment with the global performance management cycle.
- Lead the monthly close and performance review with the different departments and channels. Ensure that the key drivers and emerging trends are understood, there is full transparency of gaps to target and that required actions are tracked and delivered.
- Review the current financial forecasting process to deliver an accurate and unbiased financial forecast in a fast and simple way.
3. Business information review
- Review current information - Complete a full review of all US financial and non-financial reporting, providing a clear and simple summary to the management team.
- Understand users - Stakeholder business users to understand the use and value of the information currently produced.
4. Information & analytics capability
- Information management team – be part of the team that delivers the necessary information and analytics improvements over the next 12 months.
- The solution should combine financial data with non-financial data as well as historical and forward looking data to deliver action driving insights.

Desirable:
- Previous experience in the CPG industry.
- Understand how to perform data extraction and manipulation, as well as program languages (SQL, Python)
- Analytical experience in the following BI tools - Tableau, Power BI
- Experience in Robotic Process Automation.
Education Required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, or other related field.
- Not required, but a plus: Either working towards or in possession of CPA/CIMA or equivalent qualification
The position is based at the corporate headquarters in Carson, CA, with applicable hybrid on-site guidelines. The expected annual base salary range for this position is $110,000-$120,000. The exact base salary is determined by various factors including experience, skills, education, and budget. This role is eligible for participation in our company bonus plan, rewarding personal performance and company results.
