What You'll Do
- Work with Manager of Financial Analysis to ensure business unit objectives are aligned to regional and corporate strategic objectives
- Team with Operations to provide decision support via financial modeling, business case analysis and financial / management reporting
- Evaluate financial implications of specific business decisions / opportunities and advise management accordingly to ensure targeted financial performance achievement
- Exercise judgment to determine appropriate course of action and prepare business recommendations
- Lead the financial planning and forecasting processes for the operating unit
- Lead annual capital planning program to direct company funds to projects with the most attractive returns for the Division and CMC
- Participate in Regional budgeting and forecasting processes to align operating and capital plans to Regional and Corporate plans
- Provide in-depth analysis on variances to plan and forecast
- Work closely with CMC Americas Controller, Director of Accounting, Director of Business Analysis, and Operations to maintain an effective internal control environment
- Support process of ensuring that there is an effective and efficient system of internal controls including; data integrity, asset protection, budgeting, financial reporting, and information systems
- Complete month end close activities to ensure expenses are appropriately captured and provide financial and analytical support
- Perform ad hoc analysis and assist with special projects as requested
What You'll Need
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in finance, accounting, or other related field. Experience in manufacturing industry a plus
- Strong financial background including experience with strategic planning, forecasting and integrated financial analysis
- Deep curiosity of profit drivers and ability to use financial systems to mine data to conduct financial analysis
- SAP, BPC, BI experience strongly preferred
Your Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- MBA, CPA or CMA preferred
