We are currently on the lookout for a dynamic and experienced Permanent Senior Estimator Product Engineer to join our team in the Manufacturing industry. This is a thrilling opportunity for a highly skilled individual to take on a key role within our organization. The successful candidate will be at the forefront of product development, design, and testing, utilizing their expertise to drive our product offerings to new heights.
Responsibilities:
As a Senior Estimator Product Engineer, you will be responsible for:
1. Leading the product development process from concept to launch, ensuring that all products meet our high standards of quality, cost-effectiveness, and innovation.
2. Designing and engineering product solutions that not only meet customer needs but also enhance our competitive position in the market.
3. Conducting rigorous product testing to ensure functionality, durability, and safety. This includes developing test plans, setting up tests, analyzing results, and implementing necessary changes.
4. Creating detailed cost estimates for product manufacturing, taking into consideration factors such as materials, labor, equipment, and overhead costs.
5. Working closely with other departments such as sales, marketing, and production to ensure that products are designed and manufactured to meet customer needs and company objectives.
6. Continuously monitoring and evaluating industry trends, competitor products, and technological advancements to inform our product development strategy.
7. Providing technical guidance and support to junior team members, fostering an environment of learning and growth.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Senior Estimator Product Engineer role should have:
1. A bachelor's degree in Engineering, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 5+ years of experience in product development, design, and testing within the manufacturing industry.
3. Proven experience in creating accurate cost estimates for product manufacturing.
4. Strong knowledge of engineering design principles and manufacturing processes.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and innovatively.
6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team and communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
7. Proficiency in using computer-aided design (CAD) software and other engineering tools.
8. A commitment to continuous learning and staying updated with the latest industry trends and advancements.
9. An analytical mindset, with strong attention to detail and the ability to make sound decisions based on data.
10. The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks based on business needs.
