Kelly Science & Clinical is currently seeking candidates for a Senior Environmental Technician position at a Chemical plant in Plaquemine, LA. The main responsibilities of the position are to maintain a proactive environmental, safety, and industrial hygiene program as directed by the company and government requirements.

Job Responsibilities
- Ensures the implementation of a detailed environmental program
- Compile Air Emissions data for reporting to appropriate agencies
- Ensure compliance with all permits and other requirements
- Performs and coordinates the environmental monitoring, data collection, analysis, and reporting for the plant
- Management of Hazardous Waste for the facility including tracking totals, ordering pickups, and manifesting transportation of waste loads
- Acts as the Plant resource for related environmental information on procedures and standards
- Conducts and documents investigations of incidents and ensures follow up actions are completed
- Make recommendations for change to prevent reoccurrence of issues that have been addressed
- Bachelor of Science degree in related technical discipline is strongly preferred
- 3+ years of Chemical Manufacturing experience required
- In lieu of a degree, 5+ years of Chemical Manufacturing experience required with related field certifications
- Experience working with federal, state, and local environmental regulations, including Industrial Air Permits, RCRA, and Water
- Experience with Title V and ERIC Air Permit reporting for chemical manufacturers
- Reporting experience with LDEQ
- Experience with technical writing
- Intermediate level skills with Excel
- Experience with databases, statistical software and SAP is desired
