Job Title: Senior Electrical Engineer
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer with a specialized background in electrical engineering design within the Healthcare, Higher Education, or Government sectors. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in electrical engineering design and be proficient in using AutoCAD and Revit software. Additionally, the candidate must be degreed in Engineering and on a Professional Engineer (PE) track or already possess a PE license. The Senior Electrical Engineer will lead projects and provide technical expertise in designing, developing, and implementing electrical systems and components for various applications.
Responsibilities:
Lead the design, development, and implementation of electrical systems tailored to the unique requirements of Healthcare, Higher Education, or Government projects.
Utilize AutoCAD and Revit software to create detailed electrical designs, schematics, and layouts.
Conduct comprehensive analysis and testing of electrical systems to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate electrical systems seamlessly into larger projects, ensuring functionality, efficiency, and safety.
Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance on design principles, methodologies, and best practices.
Develop and maintain documentation, including drawings, specifications, and reports, to support the design and implementation of electrical systems.
Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes relevant to electrical engineering design in Healthcare, Higher Education, and Government sectors.
Participate in project planning, budgeting, and scheduling activities, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget constraints.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to electrical systems during all phases of development and implementation.
Collaborate with external vendors and suppliers to procure components and materials for electrical systems, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical engineering design, with a focus on Healthcare, Higher Education, or Government projects.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit software for electrical design and documentation.
On a Professional Engineer (PE) track or possession of a PE license.
Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles, codes, standards, and regulations.
Experience leading engineering projects from conception through completion.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
Ability to mentor and provide technical guidance to team members.
Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a dynamic work environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with other design software tools relevant to the Healthcare, Higher Education, or Government sectors.
Familiarity with building codes and regulations applicable to electrical systems in these sectors.
Advanced proficiency in electrical simulation software.
Previous experience working on projects requiring security clearance.
Demonstrated involvement in professional organizations or societies related to electrical engineering.
