Key Responsibilities:
1. Switchgear Electrical Design: Develop detailed designs for switchgear components, ensuring they meet industry standards, safety regulations, and customer specifications.
2. Schematic Design: Create and optimize electrical schematics, focusing on power distribution, protection, and control requirements.
3. Component Selection: Choose electrical components such as circuit breakers, relays, and transformers based on performance and project needs.
4. Collaboration: Partner with mechanical engineers, project managers, and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless integration of electrical components into switchgear systems.
5. Testing and Validation: Perform thorough testing and validation of electrical designs to ensure they meet performance and reliability standards.
6. Prototyping: Assist in developing prototypes and participate in testing phases to refine and enhance electrical designs.
7. Documentation: Prepare comprehensive design documentation, including electrical drawings, specifications, and test plans, while maintaining accurate records of design changes.
8. Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated on industry standards, regulations, and certifications related to switchgear electrical design to ensure compliance.
What We’re Looking For:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
2. 3+ years of electrical design experience, particularly in the power products or switchgear industry.
3. Proficiency in electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical) and relevant engineering tools.
4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
5. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
6. Knowledge of power distribution systems, protection schemes, and control logic.
