Title: Senior Database Programmer (FME) – Consultant
Location: Washington, DC (onsite 5-days/week)
Hire Type: Contract (12+ months – eligible for extensions)
Compensation: $73/hour W2 + Benefits

Manager Notes:
This is a 5-year program, could extend longer. Must be able to work onsite 5-days/week. No security clearance required.
Background:
The Federal Client leverages the SAFE Feature Manipulation Engine (FME) application to automate drawings for numerous facilities as part of physical space management processes. The client is seeking a vendor to provide technical support for the product, including data integration, format conversion, data transformation, QA, validation, and workflow automation to help reduce time-consuming tasks and perform quality control checks. Specifically, the client is looking for SAFE to automate the Pre-CAD process on AUTOCAD drawings and automate the quality control items listed in Post-CAD on AUTOCAD drawings. The client maintains approximately 800 facilities of varying size with 40 million square feet (SQFT) of rentable space on more than 5,000 floors. The client coordinates with GSA who provides a complete set of AutoCAD drawings and plans in various formats including .DWG, .JPEG, and .PDF for client buildings and leased locations. The files go through a Computer Aided Design (CAD) cleanup and formatting process prior to loading into JSPACE, which is the client's space and facility management software platform. The current process involves a series of manual tasks that include comparing existing drawings with newly received GSA drawings, creating drawings to conform to IMB Tririga software formats and client standards, and validating to ensure all drawing elements are created before updating JSPACE.
Scope:
This contract will provide support services to maintain and upgrade the software, support development of business procedures related to the software, and report on automated processes and changes/updates to the processes.
Requirements:
All documents, including CAD drawings, data files, test results, and process diagrams must be housed only in the IBM-hosted Tririga environment or on the client network. The vendor must be able to continue the SAFE FME software maintenance currently being provided this includes the following activities: update product platforms, manage development and test environments and moving workplace from dev to prod, environment reboots, application server restart, remediate memory leak issues, troubleshooting, and support any new code additions, plus other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities:
• Serves as the primary actor on this effort and interfaces with the government personnel regarding development, implementation, and maintenance.
• This specialist/programmer is responsible for enterprise system planning, design, specification, development, deployment, and implementation of systems and applications for clients.
• The specialist/programmer is also responsible for Safe Software FME Flow (formerly Server) installation, configuration, maintenance, and integration with other systems (including identity vendors).
Minimum Qualifications:
The Database Specialist/Programmer (Senior) must meet the following minimum qualifications:
• A total of ten (10) plus years' experience as an FME developer.
• Have experience with FME workbench development and implementation, including data mining, data integrity, AQ/QC reports, workflow automation.
• Certified FME Professional. Technical areas of expertise in SAFE software FME Flow and FME form
