The Data Platform and Machine Learning teams are part of the Amex GBT's Egencia global product organization. The teams enhance and evolve our organization's data capabilities to deliver the power of a data-driven organization.
As a Senior Data Product manager, you will be responsible for partnering with stakeholders to identify data needs by using the data flow throughout an entire product lifecycle and collecting the data requirements for each new capability, or product feature.
You will work with diverse global teams, spanning data producer and data consumer functions, to define and execute against milestones of the data management roadmap. Clients will use the products you develop to gain in-depth insights into their travel program. Every day, data scientists will leverage the platform you build to train and release machine learning models.
This is a hybrid role located in Chicago
What You'll Do:
- Develop product roadmaps based on data and judgement that aligns with the company's overall strategy
- Define specific product requirements, features, and functionality
- Partner across functional teams with a focus on Product, Technology and Operations
- Lead the execution of products from inception through deployment with measurable outcomes
- Catalyst of change that can influence the broader organization and community of Egencia leaders
- Lead and prioritize product backlog based on business value
- Monitor product performance and customer feedback to inform product improvements and updates
- Stay current with market trends, new technologies, and competitors' products
What We're Looking For:
- Relevant bachelor's degree or higher in engineering, business or related fields
- 5 years and more of product management experience
- Familiarity with the business travel industry
- 5 years of experience working with airline or travel agency connectivity products and services is highly desired
- New Distribution Connectivity (NDC) implementation experience with either airline, aggregator or travel agency is highly desired
- Working SQL knowledge

- Strong analytical skills and ability to translate data into actionable insights
- Quantitative or technical background, either in educational background or work experience.
- A data-driven and customer-oriented mindset that guides your decision making and problem solving.
- A collaborative and agile approach that enables you to work effectively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment with teams distributed internationally
- Ability to communicate effectively and deliver presentations to senior leaders
Location
Illinois, United StatesThe US national annual base salary range for this position is from $85,000 to $170,000. The national range provided includes the base salary that Egencia expects to pay for the role. Actual base salary will be based on factors including the scope and complexity of the role and the successful candidate's relevant experience, skills, knowledge, and work location.
