SENIOR COST ACCOUNTANT

Well established manufacturer is looking to add a Senior Cost Accountant to their team!

The Senior Cost Accountant position is the lead supporting cost accounting and financial accounting projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE SENIOR COST ACCOUNTANT:

• Manage the process for standard costing, analyze purchase price variances and provide variance explanations
• Ensure the accuracy of all costs within the ERP
• Assist with annual physical inventory process and cycle count
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual close, preparing journal entries, accruals, balance sheet reconciliations, etc.
• Calculate and maintain inventory reserves

EXPERIENCE FOR THE SENIOR COST ACCOUNTANT:

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related
• 2+ years of accounting experience
• Strong General Accounting and Standard Costing
• Advanced MS Excel
• ERP experience
