We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Copywriter to shape and maintain True Classic's voice across all customer touchpoints. In this role, you will be instrumental in establishing and refining our brand's tone, ensuring consistency across all communications, and leading the way in our international expansion efforts. You will oversee outsourced copywriters and agencies, ensuring our brand voice is cohesive yet adaptable to various promotional and brand channels.
All of True Classic's roles are global and omni-channel, leading designated areas of accountability across all product categories, countries, and different sales & marketing channels. This means you will have the opportunity to impact our operations worldwide, ensuring a cohesive strategy that aligns with our overall business objectives and drives success across various markets and platforms.
Key Areas of Accountability
- Team Leadership: Hire, develop, and motivate both internal team members and external partners (e.g., agencies, consultants, SaaS partners, etc.) to foster a collaborative work environment and deliver exceptional business results.
- Voice Consistency and Cohesion: Conduct an initial cleanup to align True Classic's voice across all customer touchpoints, ensuring a unified brand tone. Maintain and adapt the brand voice over time to stay relevant and consistent across different platforms, product categories, and global markets. Ensure the brand voice is cohesive yet flexible enough to cater to both promotional and brand communication needs across various channels and programs. Develop and implement guidelines for voice adaptation across campaigns and marketing initiatives to ensure clarity and effectiveness.
- Copywriting: Write copy and manage copywriting across all product categories, ensuring consistent messaging that resonates with diverse audiences.Coordinate and align copy strategies across different countries, sales channels (e.g., retail, wholesale, e-commerce), and marketing channels (e.g., digital, print, social media). Drive the development and execution of copy strategies that support omni-channel marketing efforts and ensure a cohesive brand experience globally.
- International Scaling: Oversee and coordinate with outsourced copywriters and agencies to scale our brand voice effectively into other languages and markets. Ensure that translations and localized content retain the essence and nuance of True Classic's brand voice, adapting to cultural differences while maintaining consistency.
- Content Review and Quality Assurance: Review and approve all written content to ensure it meets brand standards and project goals.Implement a robust quality assurance process to maintain high standards of clarity, consistency, and impact in all communications.
- Content Optimization & Testing: Use insights from research and analytics to refine and optimize copy for better engagement and conversion. Continuously analyze and refine copy to improve performance, using A/B testing and other methods to identify what resonates best with the audience. Implement SEO best practices in all written content to enhance organic search performance and visibility.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Inter-Departmental Synergy: Work closely with marketing, product development, and external agencies to ensure cohesive and impactful messaging. Collaborate with the creative team, including designers and content producers, to integrate copy seamlessly into visual storytelling.
- Brand Consistency: Partner with the Creative Director and other team leaders to ensure all content aligns with brand guidelines and marketing objectives. Provide oversight and feedback to ensure that all copy reflects True Classic's brand values and messaging strategies.
Qualification Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in English, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional copywriting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior or leadership role.
- Strong portfolio showcasing expertise in copywriting, brand voice development, and multi-channel content strategy.
- Experience with managing outsourced teams and coordinating with international partners.
- Exceptional leadership skills and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- A strong understanding of branding and marketing, with the ability to translate marketing objectives into compelling copy.
Preferences
- Experience in the apparel or fashion industry.
- Understanding of digital advertising and social media trends.
- Background in working with e-commerce brands.
Skills and Competencies
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in copywriting and editing tools, and familiarity with content management systems.
- Strong understanding of SEO principles and digital content strategies.

Work Environment:
This is a remote position, allowing you to work from the comfort of your home or any location with reliable internet access. You will spend extended periods at a computer, so a comfortable and ergonomic workspace is essential.
