Responsibilities:
1. Design, develop, and implement control systems to enhance production efficiency, product quality, and process optimization.
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand process requirements and translate them into effective control systems.
3. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to control systems and production processes.
4. Maintain and optimize existing control systems, including PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) such as Allen Bradley and Siemens.
5. Develop and implement AVEVA and FactoryTalk View solutions to monitor and control production processes.
6. Ensure that control systems comply with health and safety regulations, particularly in food production and dairy environments.
7. Manage aseptic and ESL (Extended Shelf Life) processes using advanced control systems.
8. Create and maintain Process & Instrumentation Drawings (P&IDs) for all control systems.
9. Utilize both digital and analog measurements in control systems design and implementation.
10. Conduct regular training sessions for production staff on the operation and troubleshooting of control systems.
11. Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in control systems technology and manufacturing processes.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Controls Engineer in the Manufacturing industry, specifically in food production and dairy.
3. Proven experience with PLC programming & HMI experience (Allen Bradley, Siemens, AVEVA, FactoryTalk View, etc)
4. Experience with aseptic and ESL processes in a manufacturing environment.
5. Proficiency in control systems design and implementation, including the use of digital and analog measurements.
6. Ability to create and maintain Process & Instrumentation Drawings (P&IDs).
7. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot control systems and production processes.
8. Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical staff.
9. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
10. Commitment to adhering to health and safety regulations in the workplace.
11. Continuous learner, staying updated with the latest trends and advancements in control systems technology and manufacturing processes.
12. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, prioritizing effectively to meet deadlines.
